Tall Tales With Local Twists

A 90 minute walk and talk with local plant advocate Pete Yeo, exploring some of Appledore’s introduced plants and their cultural and ecological significance.

Amongst others you’ll meet an American herbal immigrant with an alternative history, a future anchor tree species of our climate-impacted woodlands, the 'Appledore myrtle', and a local specimen of the world’s largest blossoming plant (clue: it’s a climber).

Meet at Appledore Baptist Church

Please note: we have very limited tickets for this walk due to social distancing measures.  If sold out, please add your name to our waiting list. If current restrictions are lifted, we may be able to release more tickets for this walk.
