Nadine Dorries - Coming Home to the Four Streets

Join Nadine Dorries and Jeremy Vine in a lively session as she talks about her political career and writing life, including the latest addition to the Four Streets saga, Coming Home to the Four Streets.

Born in Liverpool to a working-class family, Nadine spent part of her childhood living on a farm with her grandmother and attending school in the west of Ireland.  She trained as a nurse and during her early career, spent a year in Zambia as the head of a community school.  After returning to England, she founded Company Kids Ltd, which provided child day-care services for working parents.

Acclaimed as the ‘Queen of Liverpool saga’, Nadine sets her latest book in 1950s Liverpool where trouble is coming to the four streets, especially for its redoubtable women.

Interviewing Nadine will be Jeremy Vine.  Jeremy is a presenter, broadcaster, journalist and author.  He is also a patron of the festival
