How much do you know about the British monarchy? You may know about Queen Victoria, Edward VIII and Elizabeth II, and probably know that William the Conqueror beat King Harold at the Battle of Hastings, and that Henry VIII had six wives, but what else?  From Alfred the Great to Charles III, author and broadcaster, Iain Dale, takes us through 1,200 years of British history.  With the help of leading historians and journalists, Iain tries to answer why the British monarchy has survived when so many others have not. He will be joined on stage by historians Annie Whitehead and Paula Lofting, and politician Sir Robert Buckland MP.
