Alan Lee: Bringing Tolkien to Life

Academy award-winning illustrator, Alan Lee, will give us a rare insight into his work on the books and films of J R R Tolkien, including the latest posthumously published novel, The Fall of Númenor.  In this illustrated talk he will discuss his work, how he brings Tolkien’s fantasy novels to life, and working with director, Peter Jackson, on The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy, a role that brought Lee his Oscar.
