Building on the success of last year, the expanded Barnt Green Weekender 2016 is a two day festival where community, family and friends come together to enjoy quality entertainment in the great outdoors.
Join us for a fun filled weekend in the heart of Barnt Green village. Enjoy live music, yummy food and decadent drinks before snuggling down in your camping chair and blanket for a spot of outdoor cinema. When the film credits role, it’s time to party the night away under the stars (or our canvas stretch tent) to quality local bands and festival DJs.
A little bit about us … La Porte Magique is a Worcestershire based collective of fun loving funksters who love to host social gatherings in unusual & extraordinary locations. We always bring much more than our headline outdoor cinema … our events have an outdoor DNA with roots back to the underground party scene in the 80’s, free parties in woodland glades, the birth of furry tails and late night tented notorious dance venues at Secret Garden Party, Shambala and Glastonbury.
We’ll be bringing our friendly crew, the stretch tents, décor, lovely lighting, the infamous lasers, our fully licensed bars, some gourmet street food friends from Digbeth Dining Club, the Fire Cart mobile shots bar, Mr. Benn’s Fancy Dress Shed and most of all, our legendary themed after party where festival DJs Herne, Jester & Tails will play a post film party mix of disco, funk, house and dance classics so you can strut your stuff and get your wiggle on!
Gates open at 18:00, films screened at 19:30
