Beatles Walk & Mersey Ferry Tour

This day out combines the 90-minute Beatles guided walking tour in the heart of Liverpool City Centre with a ticket for a self-guided River Cruise on the Famous Mersey Ferry & visit U-boat story.  This day out is a perfect fun introduction to Liverpool's World Heritage Site and to learn all about the legacy left by the Beatles. Combining the Walk and River Cruise will enable you to see the magnificent views of Liverpool’s iconic waterfront and to understand how and why Liverpool is now the most vibrant UK city outside of London. 

This magical history and culture tour includes an amazing 8 minute panoramic Beatles Film and the brand new Cilla Black statue.

Your day starts at 10.30am with a guided walk and a photo at the brand new lifelike statues of the Beatles in front of the iconic waterfront buildings. Your guide will point out for you the “Dazzle ship” ferry the colourful design was by Sir Peter Blake who designed the cover for the Sergeant Pepper Album and will also give you your tickets for your River Cruise which you will enjoy later on in the day.  

Next, your tour guide will take you to the Museum of Liverpool and explain why John Lennon was brought up by his Aunt Mimi from the age of 5 and you will watch a brilliant 8 minute panoramic Beatles film.

Your guided walking tour continues in the Albert Docks passing the Billy Fury statue through the rejuvenated town centre passing the Queen Victoria Monument to Castle Street and the Town Hall with its balcony where the Beatles made their homecoming after their world tour in 1964.

You’ll see the brand new £1 billion shopping area called Liverpool One and the former site of Brian Epstein’s record store NEMS (North End Music Stores) and see the Eleanor Rigby and the fabulous new Cilla Black Statue and learn how John Lennon was introduced to Paul McCartney for the first time on 6th July 1957.

The walking tour will finish at the new Cilla Black statue outside the Cavern Club where the Beatles played 292 times from 1961 to 1963.

You will then have free time at leisure to buy lunch and souvenirs before a short walk through the Albert Docks to the Ferry Terminal for your River Cruise
