Beatles Walk & Radio City Tower Tour

This half day out in the heart of Liverpool City Centre is great fun and the guided walk coupled with the panoramic view 135 metres above the city centre will help you to learn all about the legacy left by the Beatles and to see why Liverpool has now emerged as the UK’s most vibrant City Outside of London.

This day is also a perfect shore excursion from the Liverpool Cruise Terminal which is less than 5 minutes’ walk to the starting point and you will get unrivalled views of your own Cruise ship from the fully accessible Radio City Tower. This tour has something for everyone!

Your Brilliant day out starts with a photo at the brand new lifelike statues of the Beatles in front of the iconic waterfront buildings. Your guide will show you the “Dazzle ship” ferry the colourful design was by Sir Peter Blake who designed the cover for the Sergeant Pepper Album and on weekdays you will see inside the sumptuous Port of Liverpool Building.

Next your tour guide will take you to the Museum of Liverpool for an 8 minute panoramic Beatles film.

Your guided walking tour continues in the Albert Docks passing the Billy Fury statue through the rejuvenated town centre passing the Queen Victoria Monument to Castle Street and the Town Hall with its balcony where the Beatles made their homecoming after their world tour in 1964.

You’ll see the brand new £1 billion shopping area called Liverpool One and the former site of Brian Epstein’s record store NEMS (North End Music Stores) and see the Eleanor Rigby and the fabulous new Cilla Black Statue and learn how John Lennon was introduced to Paul McCartney for the first time on 6th July 1957.

Next its Mathew Street and the Cilla Black Statue outside the Cavern Club where the Beatles played 292 times from 1961 to 1963. 

Finally, your guide will take you to the Radio City Tower and hand you over to their own guides for this superb tour with views of the Cathedrals, Football Grounds, the giant cranes at the Port of Liverpool and on a clear day you will across the Wirral Peninsula as far as the Welsh mountains.
