Why Facebook won’t get you any more friends

Social networking sites like Facebook held out the promise of being able to have huge numbers of friends all around the world. But in practice, it seems people’s Facebook address lists are no different to their real world list of friends and family. Psychologist Robin Dunbar explains why this is the case.
