Sleeping Beauty - The Careline Theatre Panto 2022

In January 2022, Alcalalí-based amateur theatre Careline, will be putting on their annual pantomime, and Director Suzanna Mace will be bringing the magic
of Sleeping Beauty to the stage.

“We invite you to join us to watch the traditional Sleeping Beauty storyline with all the fun of a pantomime twist!” says Suzannna. “Sleeping Beauty needs to have her wits about her when the evil witch Olga Pong and her ugly son Gormless try to kill her. With the love of her parents Queen Gigglebelly and King Rumbletum and help of her loyal servants and the Fairy Godmothers Bounty, Smartie and Wispa she will survive sorcery, gremlins and goblins!”

Even during these tough times the cast have been treading the boards to ensure the usual Careline quality. “After a treacherous 2020/2021 I hope we can bounce into 2022 with lots or laughs and gaiety that the Careline pantomime is sure to bring, “ adds Suzanna.

Careline has always been regarded as an amateur theatre with the professional touch and this production will certainly prove that once again.

Kelly B Wright plays Beauty – a natural role for this beautiful and talented lady.

The role of the Prince sees Kohsun Rana return to Careline where he acted as a junior 10 years ago.

Stevie Keen returns to what he does best, as the Dame – outrageously over the top acting with a variety of costumes to dazzle and surprise. Stevie promises a performance any West End production would be proud of. Careline stalwart

Ian Bennett plays the role of Odd Job, The Palace Caretaker and long-time admirer of Princess Beauty.

The cast promises to dazzle and entertain with singing, dancing and laughter and plenty of audience participation. The chorus numbers are truly amazing and the junior cast can’t wait to show off their talents.  Prepare to be amazed and don’t miss one of Careline’s best pantomimes yet!
