Curtains The Musical - School Edition

Creative Grounds Fine Arts Academy's 2nd Annual Community Theatre Production of Curtains the Musical.

Boston, 1959. At the Colonial Theatre, the cast of Robbin’ Hood takes their bows on opening night. Just as the curtain falls, so does Jessica Cranshaw, the profoundly untalented leading lady of the production. Enter Lieutenant Frank Cioffi, a fast-talking cop with a love for musical theatre. He quarantines the cast and crew inside the theatre while he searches for clues. But Cioffi doesn’t just investigate the murder--he also offers advice and insight into improving Robbin’ Hood. The musical will open again in 24 hours with a new leading lady, so the clock is ticking to find the killer and put on a killer show. Who could it be? Carmen Bernstein, the sassy and brassy producer? Christopher Belling, the campy and egotistical director? Georgia Hendricks, the lyricist who replaces Jessica onstage? Niki Harris, the ingenue with a secret? Everyone is a suspect, and only Cioffi can make sense of the evidence. Curtains is a musical-theatre parody of whodunnit classics, with numbers ranging from the classic musical theatre song-and-dance “A Tough Act to Follow” to the heartfelt “I Miss the Music.” A comedic send-up suitable for all ages, Curtains will have the audience laughing until the last curtain falls.

We'll perform this show OUTSIDE at the beautiful Mallow Run Winery Stage appropriately social distanced and masks are optional for all those in attendance. We'll continue to follow all CDC and Indiana Department of Health recommendations.

Preferred Seating is available for this show ($2.00 extra), or you may bring your own lawnchair/blanket and enjoy a night under the stars! The winery Shack will be open before the performances. 

We'll have a rain date of Sunday July 12 @ 8:15 IF rain occurs on any of the performances. Sunday July 12 will not have a performance if we are able to perform Thursday-Saturday.

Due to the nature of the season we're in, we've made the decision not to have a "Sensory Friendly Performance", however, if you have a sensory need, please reach out to Mark, as we have an option for our patrons who have those sensory needs. The option we have will allow those who have that need to see the performance, yet not have any additional patrons who also wish to see the show at that time.  Please send Mark an email at mark@cgfinearts.org

Tickets will be available at the door for general admission seating ONLY. $10.00 for adults and $7.00 for students. Please consider ordering online prior to your arrival. Thank you!
