Odile Hughson has researched
the Orléans family in exile at Claremont and will give an illustratated talk to introduce her new book '
Royal Friendships' and its French version 'Amitiés Royales'.
Historical events are seen through memoirs and unpublished letters, which reveal the friendly links between the Orléans living at Claremont and Twickenham with many Britons, ranging from Queen
Victoria and Lady Waldegrave of Strawberry Hill to the daughter of the Claremont housekeeper.
The book will be on sale on the evening.
