Mary Poppins

Clifton Hall's Junior School are proud to present the Disney and Cameron Mackinstosh's Mary Poppins Jnr!

Based on one of the most popular Disney movies of all time and the Broadway musical that played for over 2,500 performances and received multiple Olivier and Tony Awards nominations, Disney and Cameron Mackintosh's Mary Poppins is capturing hearts in a whole new way: as a practically perfect Broadway Junior musical!
The jack-of-all trades, Bert, introduces us to England in 1910 and the troubled Banks family. Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. Using a combination of magic and common sense, she must teach the family members how to value each other again. Mary Poppins takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures, but Jane and Michael aren't the only ones upon whom she has a profound effect. Even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the nanny who advises that "Anything can happen if you let it."
Disney and Cameron Mackintosh's Mary Poppins JR. is an enchanting mixture of irresistible story, unforgettable songs and breathtaking dance numbers. This show is a perfect opportunity to showcase a strong, iconic female performer, as well as unique special effects and illusions.

Chicago

Clifton Hall's Senior School are proud to present the Kander and Ebb high school edition of the musical Chicago!

Prepare to see a story of murder, greed, corruption, violence, exploitation, adultery and treachery, all those things we hold near and dear to our hearts in this extraordinary Kander and Ebb musical.
Chicago (High School Edition) is a specially adapted version of this classic musical that maintains the plot, score and Fosse styled choreography, but is specially adapted to make it more appropriate for both young and old audience members to enjoy. Set in the 1920’s and telling the stories of vaudevillians Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly, both charged with murder, it takes us to clubs, to prison and the five merry murderesses, to celebrity and ultimately freedom.
Famed for its Fosse choreography that will be seen in this production and its famous score including musical theatre classics such as All That Jazz, Cell Block Tango, When You’re Good To Mama, Mr Cellophane, and of course, Razzle Dazzle. Chicago (High School Edition) is not to be missed. Performed by the talented senior school.

Friday 21st June 2019 - 6.50pm, to start at 7.00pm sharp.
Saturday 22nd June 2019 - 11.50pm, to start at 12.00 noon sharp.
