Winter Family Concert

Our family-friendly concerts have become something of a tradition and are not to be missed!

These concerts provide the perfect introduction to classical music for budding young musicians, guiding them through all the sounds and emotions the orchestra can produce.

Audience participation will be the order of the day – as usual – with the huge fun of providing every member of the audience, including the babies, with things to hit… we mean bells, shakers, and blocks.

The programme will include:
A selection from the film Aladdin
Dmitri Shostakovich – Waltz No.2 from the ‘Suite for Jazz Orchestra’
Ennio Morricone – ‘Gabriel’s Oboe’, main theme from the film ‘The Mission’
String selection from William Walton’s ‘Henry V Suite’
A movement from Tielman Susato’s ‘Suite for Brass’
Malcolm Arnold – Trevelyan Suite
