Christmas Concert by Candlelight 2021
The Caversham String Ensemble with soloists:
Jiageng Chen – violin and Timothy Watts – oboe
The Caversham Ensemble, all top professional musicians, will perform their annual and eagerly anticipated Christmas Concert.
The programme will include Corelli’s Christmas Concerto, Winter from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, Bach’s Air on the G string, the Pachelbel Canon, Bach’s concerto for oboe and violin, the Barber Adagio plus audience carols. The soloists will be the superb violinist Jiafeng Chen who will be joined by Timothy Watts (RPO) on oboe in the Bach double concerto accompanied by strings and harpsichord continuo.
Mulled wine will be on sale and art works inspired by the Autumn Festival of Music and Art will be exhibited.
