Online 'Grammar Crammer' 11+ Summer Short Course

This course is designed to help Year 5 students develop and consolidate their skills in a relaxed, educational, fun environment. 

The Grammar Crammar is a fairly intensive course that assumes that the children are aware of key question types in the GL 11+ Gloucestershire Test. The course, takes place over five mornings and focuses upon supporting children to increase their depth of knowledge whilst teaching a range of strategies with tips and techniques. We will also be looking at exam strategies and how to use the time available effectively.

Our two highly qualified teachers, who are also very experienced and successful 11+ tutors, work together bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience that children have found useful in helping them achieve higher scores in a short time.

Covering all subject areas for the 11+ GL Gloucestershire Test - English, Maths, Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning: An outline of the breakdown of the course is given below.

Day 1: EXAM TECHNIQUE - with linked questions from the four subject areas
Day 2: VOCABULARY AND VERBAL REASONING QUESTION TYPES - focussing on methods and speed
Day 3:  MATHS KEY KNOWLEDGE - Revision and Practice
Day 4:  COMPREHENSION AND SPAG focussing on best approaches and ‘red herrings’
Day 5:  NVR TIPS AND ’THE EXAM’.  RETURNING TO EXAM TECHNIQUE

This course does not duplicate our ‘Spring Short Course’ and may be taken consecutively.
