A guided walk with local historian, Frank Olding, looking at the upland archaeology of Mynydd Llangynidr. The walk will take in industrial archaeology, the Duke’s Table, the Brinore Tramroad, prehistoric burial mounds, medieval hafods and the Chartists’ Cave. 

Directions to Start
From CRiC, take the A40 towards Brecon and at the Shell Petrol Station turn left and cross the river bridge. Turn left over the bridge and immediately right through Llangattock. At the top of the village take the right hand fork signposted Beaufort. After 3 miles at T junction turn left on B4560 and travel across the moorland to the village of Garnlydan, marked by a cattle grid. As you exit the village turn left just before the bridge and at traffic lights turn right onto A4281. Keep straight on to second roundabout and then join A465. At the first junction, come off the A465 and take the 3rd exit, signposted Trefil. Keep on up the road to Trefil village. The pub - Tafarn T'Uchaf -  is on your left and the car park on your right
