Visit the pool which hides its secrets in a lovely secluded valley. Did St Gwendoline bathe here? But perhaps it hides a darker secret- was it a pool used in medieval times to decide whether witches were innocent or guilty? The walk takes a route out of Talgarth towards the distant Black Mountains and then along their lower flanks before turning back towards the town. On the way back the Pwll-y-Wrach Nature Reserve is visited. (This can be very muddy at times and so a road walk may be substituted.)
