A superb challenge walk along two of the Black Mountain ridges high above the Grwyne Fechan valley. The walk starts with a stiff ascent and then we stride out along the tops for most of the day with wonderful views. Starting from Llanbedr village hall we ascend to Crug Mawr. Follow the top up to Pen Twyn Mawr, Pen y Gadair Fawr eventually reaching Waun Fach. Up again to the top of Pen Allt-mawr and onto the top of Pen Cerrig-calch. From here it's a descent to Table Mountain and then back into CRiC for a well-earned cup of tea and cakes.
