We follow lanes and tracks up onto little walked Buckland Hill passing Buckland Hall on the way. Views include the Brecon Beacons and valley back to Sugarloaf. Crossing the A40 we meander up onto Cefn Moel and from there drop down past Heol-las farm. Then begins the search for Blaenllynfi the hidden castle. Taking a lane, followed by a Roman road leads us up to the fort on Allt-yr-Esgair where we drop down via the hidden Paragon tower and back to our cars. This walk has three ascents but all will be taken at a steady pace for all our enjoyment.

Directions to Start
From the front of CRiC take A40 towards Brecon. About 1½ miles after passing through Bwlch you will see an elevated lay by on the right with a mobile cafe (Paddy's Snacks). This is the car park.
