Community Interest - SINGING SESSIONS - TASTER

The Singing Sessions - with Debra Salem.

This Taster session is designed to promote community singing without the pressure of performing. It doesn't matter what standard your singing is - perhaps you only sing in the shower, or maybe you're King or Queen of the Karaoke! We want people to come along and enjoy this community singing experience and see where it takes us!

Debra is as a choral director, educator, composer, singer/songwriter and arts administrator.  She set-up and arranges the repertoire of the Craigie Community Choir in Perth, an a cappella group that sings a wide-ranging repertoire and who have sung backing vocals with Runrig , Blake, and for gigs at Celtic Connections. Debra is MD of The Scottish Police and Community Choir, based in Glasgow and Perth, who sang with Russell Watson on two Scottish Tours and takes a workplace choir in Dundee for The RSNO. She also leads numerous vocals projects – including Southern Fried Voices -  with Horsecross Arts in Perth, and works with Tayside Healthcare Arts Trust on vocal projects for those with long term health conditions. She is currently working on a year-long project in Dublin - Clamour and Roar; a Citizens Chorus, as musical director and composer.
