For many years Barbara Rae has travelled to work in County Mayo in the West of Ireland. The works in this exhibition are inspired by the land, the light and the history of this often overlooked county. Close to where she works in Ballycastle is a neolithic farm site, burial sites and many carved stones. Barbara is always aware of the layers of history, and the presence and traces of the people who have inhabited these lands for centuries.
