Join renowned violinist Krysia Osostowicz and pianist Nicola Eimer as they return to the Music Barn at Lavethan. Lavethan is an exceptionally beautiful venue, and ticket-holders are welcome to arrive from 6.00pm, bringing a picnic if they wish, to explore the extensive gardens which include huge trees, a Celtic cross and a mediaeval well. A glass of wine, either before or after the concert, is included in the ticket price.

Krysia Osostowicz (violin) has enjoyed a long career in solo and ensemble playing, and is much respected as a teacher of violin and chamber music. She is the founder of the Dante Summer Festival, based in the Tamar Valley. Born in London of Polish descent, Krysia studied at the Yehudi Menuhin School, King's College Cambridge and in Salzburg with the great Hungarian violinist Sandor Vegh. She has collaborated with artists such as Steven Isserlis, Radu Lupu, Ferenc Rados and Tabea Zimmerman and currently teaches at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

Nicola Eimer (piano) has performed as a soloist and chamber music across Europe, Asia and America and has played at the major UK venues including the Barbican and Wigmore Hall. A graduate of New York’s Juilliard School and the Royal Academy of Music, Nicola has won the 2002 Royal Overseas League Chamber Music Prize with the Eimer Piano Trio and played with artists including Johan Dalene and Fenelle Humphries, her collaboration with the latter being described as “hugely rewarding” by the Observer and “an absolutely exquisite album” by BBC Radio 3’s Record Review.
