Rev’d Professor Paul Fiddes on Visionary Spirituality in Two Poet-Artists
Saturday 4th November, 10am-3pm
St Endellion Church
£10
This reflective day explores the prophetic spirituality of William Blake and David Jones - both engravers, painters, and poets. With a background in nonconformist Christianity, Blake asserted the power of love and the imagination in opposition to a legalistic form of life. Jones, a convert to the Catholic faith, affirmed the sacramentality of life in an increasingly mechanized world. Rev’d Professor Paul Fiddes will trace the ways these poet-artists expressed their spiritual vision through both words and visual images. Coffee and tea will be provided. Please bring your own picnic lunch.
