Foraging Workshop with Emma Gunn (North Cornwall Book Festival 2024)
Sunday 29 September, 10am-1pm
Stone Barn (and outside!)
£30
After last year’s sell-out foraging workshop, we are delighted to have Emma Gunn returning to run another.
Emma is an expert forager, artist and designer based in Cornwall. After studying garden design, she joined the Eden Project and worked there for 22 years in many different roles, such as plant propagator, guide, florist, house plant expert and Seasonal Displays Supervisor. Due to Covid, Emma took redundancy and, with the help of Crowdfunder, set up her own house plant business. For the last 16 years Emma has run foraging walks throughout Cornwall in places such as St. Michael’s Mount, Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Philleigh Way Cookery School, the Potager and Enys Gardens. She has also given foraging masterclasses and talks at universities and a TED talk on “A Forager’s guide to surviving an apocalypse!”.
Emma enjoys sharing her knowledge and recipes to give people the confidence to start foraging and explore the unique flavours that are available on our doorsteps. Coastal and seaweed foraging are two of her favourites and it is her aim to get people hooked!
