Come and Sing

Come and sing a wonderful selection of repertoire by British composers, with a Coronation theme.    The day starts at 10am with rehearsals until 1pm.  An informal performance will be given at 2pm.

Candlelit Songs of Love & Longing

A magical evening with rising stars soprano Camilla Harris and pianist Natalie Burch as they perform music by Liszt, Rachmaninov, and Strauss.

Choral & Orchestral: CPE Bach Magnificat

Wednesday 12 April 2023, 7.30pm

This uplifting concert of choral and orchestral music features works by Handel, John Tavener and John Ireland as well as an Easter Festival commission from young composer Rhiannon Randle. Rounding off the evening is CPE Bach's exhilarating setting of the Magnificat

Tom Hickox by Candlelight

Thursday 13th April at 10.15pm

Singer-songwriter Tom Hickox takes the stage and performs songs from his critically-acclaimed albums "War, Peace and Diplomacy" and "Monsters in the Deep" along with some new, never-before-heard material.

The Dream of Gerontius

Featuring the full Festival Orchestra, Festival Chorus and Festival Director Katy Thomson as the Angel, Edward Elgar's magnificent masterpiece The Dream of Gerontius is widely regarded as one of the greatest pieces ever written for chorus and orchestra and in his own words, "This is the best of me".
