Handbagged is a wickedly funny and poignant play. The monarch – Elizabeth II; her most powerful subject – Margaret Thatcher. One believed there was no such thing as society; the other had vowed to serve it. This witty and cleverly written fictional account, inspired by true events, imagines what these powerful women talked about behind closed palace doors.
