Matt Carter, Leigh Coleman and Phoebe Jane bring the danceable grooves and hook-laden tunes of 60s and 70s soul music, from the blues of Etta James to the gospel of Aretha Franklin, and the funk of Sam & Dave. This is a musical celebration of soul!

Saturday 23 May, Starts: 4pm, Marine Theatre
Deep-fried New Orleans soul, marinaded in southern blues, served with a pinch of hip-hop and garnished with some funky beats – a  recipe for "guerrilla soul”. “If you’ve never seen Otis Redding or Aretha Franklin perform, go see James & Black”

MARTIN HARLEY (WITH FULL BAND)

FB POCKET ORCHESTRA BBQ

FB Pocket Orchestra recreate the vibrant 20s and 30s music from New Orleans speakeasies, Parisian cafes and backyard porches.  In an entertaining and exhilarating show they mix jazz, blues and ragtime to perfectly capture the sounds and atmosphere of the time. DOM PIPKIN – “SMOKIN’ BOOGIE”

DOCKSIDE LATIN ORCHESTRA 
Sunday 24 May, Starts: 8.30pm, Marine Theatre
This big latin orchestra delivers hip-swivelling, finger-clicking tropical music with its spicy salsas, sassy sambas and mesmerising mambos. 17 musicians from the UK, Cuba, Columbia and Spain deliver catchy vocals, big punchy horns and pulsating rhythms. An exuberant explosion of Afro-Cuban music!

ZOE GILBY TRIO BRUNCH
Monday 25 May, Starts: 12.30pm, Royal Lion Hotel, Broad Street
Jazz Vocalist of the Year, Zoe Gilby, celebrates The American Songbook and beyond in a sparkling performance at our popular jazz brunch. From cool contemporary covers to exuberant jazz standards, Zoe’s classy interpretations of Cole Porter, Thelonious Monk and Duke Ellington adds pulse-raising energy to old favourites. Includes two-course lunch.

You will be given a choice of a meat or veggie option when booking - this helps us plan numbers for the sit down brunch on Monday 25 May. Please let us know if you have any other special dietary requirements.  Also, if you wish to sit with others who will be purchasing via a separate transaction, please let us know so we can try to seat you together - please be aware that you will be seated at shared tables.

All our events are ticketless with your name being automatically added to a doorlist when you book with us. However, you will also be able to exchange your email print out for a laminated Weekend Ticket at the first event or from Lyme Regis Tourist Information Centre during the festival.
