Open Morning Tours for current year 6

Open Morning Tours of the School for Year 6 Parents and their Children


JHGS is delighted to welcome prospective parents and current year 6 students to visit the school for a short tour, please note that as there are a limited number of places each day so we have to restrict to this year group. Tours will be led by a member of our Prefect Team who will be happy to answer any questions you might have about the school.  Each tour is expected to last around 45 minutes.  The school will be in 'working' mode so it won't be possible to enter lessons or classrooms.

Please note the following conditions that have been put in place for the safety of students, staff and visitors:

- Tours must be booked in advance for a specific time-slot; we are currently taking a tour at 9 a.m. and a tour at 10 a.m..  Each tour group will have a maximum group size of 12.
- Each ticket for a tour admits two - ie one parent/guardian and one student (who should currently be in Year 6). Parents of younger children will have the opportunity to visit us on Open Evening 10th July 2024): if a parent has twins in year 6 an exception will be made.
- Tours will not be able to enter classrooms although we have an "open door" policy and it will be possible to see lessons being taken.
- As school will be "in session" we will not be able to offer parking: visitors should park at the Handy Cross Park and Ride (by Waitrose).

-  Please arrive in good time. Tours will leave promptly and it will not be possible for latecomers to join a tour.
