Into The Woods

Into The Woods, the magical musical from Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine, is a fantastical matrimony of all your favourite fairytale characters beyond their ‘happily ever after’.

It is full of heart-warming morals about the quest for parenthood, the importance of family and the search for complicated truths. The lyrics themselves sing that “no one is alone”, and this indeed true of the whole show- during the large and impressive ensemble vocal numbers that interweave vocally and visually on stage creating a beautiful stage picture. This message of unity and strength is just one of many to take away from this piece that are beautifully portrayed through true and complex characters and music, grounded in the whimsical familiarity of Grimm’s fairytale stories.

The first project for student led, independent theatre company Little Red Dot, Into The Woods is sure to take you on a journey of imagination and wonder you won’t soon forget!
