Stargazing on the Common

Swindon Stargazers deliver many outreach activities including presentations to schools, libraries and youth groups, along with observing sessions, such as this.

Drop-in anytime between 7.30-9.30PM
Free event - No booking needed
Event is outside and what you see will depend on how clear the night sky is.
Wear warm clothes, hats, scarfs etc. A picnic chair and blanket means you can be comfortable and help keep you warm while gazing at the sky. Bring binoculars if you have them.
Mostly level ground and accessible but can get muddy.
Limited parking nearby, otherwise 5-10 minutes walk from town-centre parking.
Suitable for all - children must be accompanied
