Stargazing at Manton

Stargazing with members of the Wiltshire Astronimical Society Wiltshire Astronomical Society (wasnet.org.uk) and Bath Astronomers bathastronomers.org.uk. Jubilee Fields at Manton are 2 miles out of Marlborough along the A4 towards Chippenham/Calne. The field is behind the Oddfellows pub. See map below.

Event is outside and dependent on the weather and a clear sky
The field may be uneven and muddy.
Sturdy shoes and clothing suitable for the weather are recommended.
A picnic chair and blanket means you can be comfortable and help keep you warm while gazing at the sky. Bring binoculars if you have them.
If you bring a torch, please only red torches at the meadow otherwise your eyes and others' will not adjust to the darkness and see the stars.
