Dessert Theatre (Orange is the New Glass and Homework Eats Dog)

Join us for an evening of comedy and tasty desserts supporting our Mint Hill Middle School Drama Department!

The eighth graders present Orange is the New Glass by Tyler Dwiggins. In a fairy tale kingdom obsessed with pop culture and social media, fairy godmothers are lawyers and the Three Little Pigarazzi chase celebrities. But when Cinderella leaves her self-absorbed prince and winds up in jail with an unlikely girl squad, she doesn't just cause a sensation -- she starts a revolution.

The Mint Hill Marquee group presents Homework Eats Dog and Other Woeful Tales by Alan Haehnel. For Douglas Koekeaneski, there's nothing greater than the "Hour of Desperation," that magical hour before his immensely important, grade-devastating assignment is due. Each year, his students frantically scramble to come up with their method of escape -- and this year is no exception, as they trot out a litany of outrageous excuses, including the greatest of them all: My homework ate my dog.

Doors will open 20 minutes prior to curtain. There will be a 15 minute intermission between shows.

Tickets $10 -- Includes admission to both shows and dessert bar.
Children under 2 years old will be admitted free and do not require a ticket.
