Deborah Conway & Willy Zygier

Deborah Conway’s platinum release ‘String of Pearls’ is enjoying its 25 year anniversary. To celebrate, Conway will perform the entire record with a full band as well as launching her new album ‘Everybody’s Begging’ with long time collaborator Willy Zygier.

The Beginning & The End. String of Pearls was only the beginning of a wonderful, varied solo career and that’s how the night will end. But to start Conway and long time collaborator Willy Zygier will perform their just released album Everybody’s Begging, the follow up to the critically claimed 2013 release, Stories of Ghosts.

Once again Conway & Zygier are traversing an emotional landscape of ideas that demand attention and receive it in the form of toe tapping compulsion.

Deborah Conway & Willy Zygier have been significant and eloquent contributors to Australian music for over 30 years. Conway’s first band Do Re Mi topped the charts; her first solo album achieved platinum sales and earned her an ARIA award. Conway started working with Willy Zygier in 1991; together they have written, recorded and released 9 albums that have all attracted appreciative audiences and critical acclaim from reviewers.

Joining Conway & Zygier on stage will be Niko Schauble, Clio Renner (RocKwiz) and Simon Starr.

‘If there was ever an Australian act that could be said to have maintained professional integrity alongside lyrical honesty in the wake of mainstream commercial popularity, Deborah Conway is easily that artist.’  Faster Louder review, Canberra
