Holly Throsby

Holly Throsby is singer-songwriter, musician and novelist from Sydney. This is Holly’s first tour in six years with her latest solo album, After a Time.

Holly has released four critically acclaimed solo albums, a collection of original children's songs and an album as part of the band, Seeker Lover Keeper (with Sarah Blasko and Sally Seltmann). Her new album, After A Time, is due for release in February 2017. The first single, What Do You Say?, has been called “shadowy…tender…understated…beautiful” (Stereogum). And Double J described it as “beautiful, uplifting and raw as hell”.

Holly has been nominated for four ARIA Awards – including two for Best Female Artist, and one for Best Children’s Album. She has toured at home and abroad with artists such as Joanna Newsom, Bill Callahan, Paul Kelly, Devendra  Banhart and The Handsome Family. Guests on her albums include Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy, Mick Turner and Mark Kozelek.

Holly’s debut novel, Goodwood, was published by Allen & Unwin in October 2016. Goodwood was described as “wonderfully lush and well realised” by The Australian, and “a complete revelation” by the Sydney Morning Herald; it featured in The Guardian’s List of Literary Highlights; and was awarded Book of the Month at Dymocks across Australia..
