Over the River and Through the Woods

Directed by Maryann Curmi.
Heartwearing family comedy about about Nick:  a single, Italian-American guy from New Jersey. The job he's been waiting for would take him away from his beloved, but annoying, grandparents. He tells them. The news doesn't sit so well. Thus begins a series of schemes to keep Nick around.

Joe DiPietro’s Over the River and Through the Woods, directed by Maryann Curmi, takes center stage from July 14 to July 30. The sentimental comedy follows Nick, a New York marketing manager, as he tells his Italian-American grandparents in Hoboken that he’s moving to Seattle.

Nick Cristano visits his wacky grandparents every week for dinner. "My grandparents firmly believed in the three F's of life," Nick confides, "family, faith and food." He takes viewers on a sweet and sentimental journey into the heart of the family you might have had or wish you did. Disaster strikes when Nick announces that he has been offered a job across the country in Washington. The others don't want him to leave and concoct a scheme that sets in motion a chain of events that surprises them all.
