ORGAN FESTIVAL 2019: Saturday Night at the Silent Movies

An evening of film entertainment with Donald MacKenzie at the console of the Willis organ.
International virtuoso organist Donald MacKenzie improvises a live soundtrack to a Laurel & Hardy comedy short 'Habeas Corpus' followed by the 1925 version of The Wizard of Oz.

Some tickets will be available on sale at the door on a first come first served basis.

Wine, juice, popcorn and ice cream will also be for sale.

Before the movies, Donald plays a selection of lighter organ music and gives a personal introduction to the films.
Laurel & Hardy star as a pair of reluctant grave robbers hired by a mad scientist in ‘Habeas Corpus’.  
Larry Semon stars as the Scarecrow and directs the 1925 version comedy fantasy-adventure of The Wizard of Oz which features Dorothy Dwan as Dorothy.
