The North Wiltshire Symphony Orchestra spring concert showcases two very different sides of one of the most famous of English composers, Edward Elgar: the flamboyance and energy encompassed in his first symphony versus his more melancholy and reflective nature that weaves its way through his cello concerto in E minor with its beautifully autumnal and elegiac atmosphere.
The orchestra will be joined for this concert by one of the UK’s foremost cellists, Richard May.
