Have you noticed? All the best things come in fours. The Four Seasons. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. And of course, a classical string quartet.
For this Night Shift, we’re bringing back a very unusual quartet – with four violins.
They’ll be performing a programme of some of the finest music from the Classical era, along with a very modern piece which was specially written for the OAE by a former BBC Radio 3 ‘Embedded Composer’, Matthew Kaner.
In support we’ll have multi-instrumentalist Sylva Faye, whose lovely ambient folk pop has garnered attention from BBC Introducing and the blogosphere. It’s all taking place at the spiritual home of the Night Shift, The George, where it all began.
