Brian Poole & The Tremeloes

When in 2013 all of the original Tremeloes had gone their own ways or were retired, the tour that is taking place looked impossible.

Rick Westwood had just retired and although Dave Munden, Chip Hawkes and Brian Poole had worked together successfully a few times over the years notably Brian & Chip on three separate 60’s Gold tours 2012, 2013 and 2014, Brian, Chip, Rick, Dave on the ‘Together Again’ tour, and a Brian Poole & Tremeloes tour in 2013, most people thought this was it.  

But then, at the beginning of 2015 when Chip, Brian & Dave Munden were taking dates for 2015 and 2016, they were approached by Robert Pratt one of the promoters of the highly successful ‘60’s Gold Tour’ and asked to come together as the surviving members of the band who had bought to the world songs like ‘Twist & Shout’, ‘Suddenly You Love Me’, ‘Do You Love Me’, ‘Here Comes My Baby’, ‘Candy Man’, ‘Call Me No.1’, ‘Someone, Someone’, ‘Silence is Golden’ and many more top five hits.  

Brian & Chip were already successful as a hit duo and Dave Munden was also successfully touring with his Tremeloes at this point in 2015.  

It was eventually decided that Brian, Chip & Dave would appear on the tour and also produce a CD and DVD to go with it.  

What we see in this show is the 3 people who sung all of the hits, on stage together and enjoying themselves bringing the past to the present for the vast army of avid followers who have stayed loyal to them for more than 50 years.

When talking about this tour Chip, Brian & Dave realised that if they wanted to they could perform a concert of over 2 hrs of all their hits.  This made it quite difficult to pick the songs that they will perform on the show.  One thing you can be sure of is that they will perform the songs that everyone knows them for and sing them just the way you like ‘em.
