In February 2023, singer-songwriter Kimo Nevius launched a quixotic project to write, record, and release a new song every week for 53 weeks. Created under the umbrella of his one-man band Promised Road, the songs have ranged from acoustic ballads to ‘80s synth-pop (with lyrics by Jane Austen!) to minimalist classical compositions in the style of John Cage and Meredith Monk. And literally everything in between: rock, pop, sea shanties, British white soul…you name it.
Nothing has been off-limits.

Come celebrate the conclusion of this year-long project with a special concert at ProArts Playhouse in Kihei. Combining live instruments, recorded tracks, talk story, one-of-a-kind visuals, and a special guest or two, this evening with Promised Road will highlight the biggest hits and deepest cuts of this musical adventure.
