Filmfest'22 | County Lines, Henry Blake and Victoria Bavister

Henry Blake is a British writer/director based in London, who grew up in New Zealand. His low-budget, debut feature, County Lines received its UK premier at the 2019 London Film Festival and has since received a multitude of rave reviews as well as a BAFTA nomination for best actress category, 4 BIFA nominations for Best Debut Director and all three lead actors. In addition to this, Henry was nominated for the 41st Critics' Circle Film Awards for the Breakthrough British/Irish Filmmaker category. He is currently in post production of RED ROSE for Eleven Films, Netflix & BBC. Henry’s previous short film credits include COUNTY LINES (Nominated Best British Short Film Award - London Short Film Festival 2019) GUS & SON (Sao Paolo Short Film Festival 2017).

Victoria Bavister is founding member of Two Birds Entertainment with writer/director Henry Blake. Their debut feature film COUNTY LINES was released in 2020 by the BFI distribution and gained a BAFTA and 4 BIFA nominations. They have a number of projects in development including THE GOLDEN RADIANCE OF A BEETLE (with producing partner Denzil Monk - supported by The Uncertain Kingdom development fund), THE GHOSTS OF UL’TRA (with Christopher Granier-Deferre) and THE ARCHITECT (with Matt Wilkinson and Nick Angel).
Victoria spent 5 years as development producer for Simon Curtis’ 39 Steps Entertainment - overseeing his first look deal for Big Talk Productions, working on commissions for Working Title, On The Corner, BBC and Sky and supporting the development of his slate of feature films. Prior to this she assisted at some of the UKs leading film companies including Blueprint Pictures, Origin Pictures, DJ Films, Fox Searchlight.
She is committed to giving opportunities to underrepresented voices and filmmakers and is producing the drama debut short film from Barbadian-British award-winning documentary and portrait photographer Myah Jeffers.
