Mock Tudor Comedy Club - 8 November

Headliner Jimmy McGhie is a top circuit act in the UK, as well as a highly sought after corporate awards host and TV warm up artist. He regularly provides the studio warm up for BBC1’s Graham Norton Show, ITV’s Loose Women and Ch4’s Deal or No Deal. Jimmy was an assistant producer for the BBC's Science and History Department, having spent 7 years working in factual television before he ran off to join the stand up comedy circus professionally in 2009. Since then he has performed stand up all over the world and appeared on numerous television and radio programmes including the BBC, Channel 4, Channel 5, Comedy Central, ABC Australia, THREE New Zealand, Absolute Radio and many more.
Delivered with a down-to-earth, likeable charm and just the right amount of enthusiasm, Jimmy has the knack of making any audience feel like friends. He combines a bright disposition with a disdain for much of the modern world. He considers being a bit (but not really) posh (really posh people say ‘ears’ instead of ‘yes’), the myths of moving in with your girlfriend, how technology turns us into particularly needy children, and the horrors of fashionable media types....
“Hilarious, self deprecating and lovable… A fantastic storyteller.” – Three Weeks

Matt Stellingwerf is a fast rising star on the international comedy scene, and highly regarded by his peers. Matt has won four NZ Comedy Guild Awards, been nominated for several others, and was nominated as Best Newcomer at the 2014 NZ International Comedy Festival.
He was a 2015 & 2016 nominee for the prestigious Billy T Award. A renowned MC and compere, Matt is a 3-time nominee for Best MC in New Zealand.
Hamilton-born and Wanganui-raised farmer's son and trained criminologist, an award-winning bar fly...and genuinely lovely guy, Matt is a man of contradictions. He expertly brings these contradictions to the stage with his typical low-key style and confidence, finding the humour in topics as diverse as love, mental illness, sex, drugs, and this crazy interview he once conducted with a serial killer on Death Row!
Matt now brings a worldview inspired by alcoholic shearing gangs, bizarre Dutch relatives, and criminological theory to the stage and attempts to answer some of life's enduring mysteries....
He has toured extensively, performing throughout NZ, Australia, the USA & the United Kingdom.

Lauren returned from the 2017 Edinburgh Fringe with her smash hit, sell out, critically acclaimed debut show Lady Muck, which was lauded as one of the strongest debut the festival has seen in years. It received a Herald Angel Award and was nominated for Amused Moose Best Show and an Edinburgh Best Newcomer Comedy Award. The success of the show saw it go on to a six night sell out run at London's famous Soho Theatre, as well as runs at the Perth and Adelaide Fringe in Australia, and the Auckland Comedy Festival in New Zealand.
Bursting out of the North East and onto the national circuit, Lauren has provided tour support for Katherine Ryan, Kerry Godliman and Dane Baptiste, as well as gracing the comedy stages of Leeds Festival  and Latitude Festival.
