After The Trojan Women - A Playreading

After the Trojan Women
Now the men are back in the dark earth, the women remain

This new full-length play 'After the Trojan Women' by Joanna Blundell and Amena Shehab is inspired by Euripides’ classic.  Huriya has escaped one war in Syria, only to find herself caught up in one of the most legendary wars of all time, the Trojan War. Time fractures on the Turkish coast and Huriya comes face to face with the women of Troy exactly as the Greeks take victory after a ten year siege. She fights to return home as all their lives hang in the balance.
Can humans can ever forget how to wage war?
