Mock Tudor Comedy - Friday 23 June

Our monthly Mock Tudor Comedy club night!  With wonderful headliner, JOHN ROBERTSON, plus MICHAEL AKADIRI and an additional guest spot with JOE BOR as your MC.

JOHN ROBERTSON - is a high-energy improvisational stand-up comedian; his material is 'edgy, intelligent and smoothly delivered'. A human hurricane, John has headlined festivals, theatres and comedy clubs around the world, where he arrives, plays with the crowd like nobody else can, then leaves. He’s also written 13 different solo shows, created custom work for private bookings, performed at 11 Edinburgh Fringes, and since 2020 his online shows have raised over £100,000 for charities including NHS, Samaritans, Shelter, Mermaids, End The Virus Of Racism, Special Effect and The Trussell Trust.  John knows a tonne about gaming and pop culture, he extensively tours his cult live interactive gaming show, The Dark Room, and creates a new stand-up solo show most years. 

Some might say he is a force of nature - you may well remember where you saw him...  Oh, and his 'kick-ass' clothes are made by Gallery Serpentine and apparently yours should be too!

MICHAEL AKADIRI - his natural charm and cheeky, observational style has already seen him make an impact on the UK comedy scene with a sold out debut run at the Edinburgh festival followed by a UK wide tour. As well as performing comedy, Michael works as a junior doctor in the NHS having completed his early surgical training in London.
As seen on ITV2s Stand Up Sketch Show, Channel 4 (Tik Tok), LadBible & BBCs New Comedy Award. His radio credits include the breakfast show panel on Times Radio, hosting on BBC Radio Kent, and stand-up on BBC Radio 4's Fred at the Stand.  Michael has also written and performed sketch collaborations with LadBible UK.  Michael performs at the top comedy clubs in the country. 

JOE BOR - is an experienced comedian and character act. A versatile comedian, Joe has done pretty much everything! From writing for Mock The Week to becoming one of the most in demand TV warm up acts on the circuit, doing warm up for Piers Morgans Life Stories, Celebrity Juice, Mock The Week, Have I Got News For You, 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Room 101, Sunday Night At The Palladium, Chatty Man, Saturday Night Takeaway & Never Mind The Buzzcocks.

On top of this, Joe has performed all over the globe. He has provided tour support for Jack Whitehall, Alistair McGowan and Kevin Bridges and he has taken an impressive six solo shows to the Edinburgh Fringe where his jokes have been listed in the top jokes of the Fringe in The Daily Mirror, The Independent, The Daily Mail and The Scotsman.
