Elaine has been singing professionally for 45 years. She returns to the Riverstage stage with her warm storytelling narrative that brings all genres together as Jazzish -
a relaxed and comfortable intimate engaging evening, with humour and energy, including songs from Sondheim to Sting, the Beatles, to Billie Eilish - all brought together in a jazzy style. With chatter and inclusive, storytelling and sharing.
Two Sets developed with Musical Director and Pianist James Hall that have a Jazz style, feel and ambience, sourcing songs from across the genres, with Elaine’s theatrical twist and storytelling. Elaine sang professionally from the age of 15, and at 19 was offered a role in Godspell by Cameron Mackintosh. After a career in West End Musicals, she now works as a mainstream Actress in TV, theatre and Radio. She is a well-known Vocal Coach. Elaine has sung Jazz all her life, influenced by Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holliday and Blossom Dearie, along with the theatricality of Judy Garland and great voices like Carol Carpenter and Carol King. This is a mature vibrant journey though songs of life from a performer who has sung for 45 years .
