Mock Tudor Comedy - Friday 3 November

Our monthly Mock Tudor Comedy club night with MARLON DAVIS, and JIMMY McGHIE as headliner - more acts to be announced!

JIMMY McGHIE is back performing at all the best comedy clubs and theatres up and down the UK including supporting John Bishop and Jason Manford on tour. Throughout 2020 he performed in and hosted a variety of online shows, gigs and corporate events live from his salubrious attic, but he is happiest back on the road and in front of live crowds. Jimmy performed his critically acclaimed 9th solo show ‘BA (Hons)’ to sell out crowds at the 2020 Adelaide Fringe. He was due to continue on the  Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Canberra Comedy Festivals,  until disaster struck and he was unceremoniously booted back home for a year long lockdown party on the sofa. Back in 2019 , BA (Hons) played to full rooms and critical acclaim at the Edinburgh Fringe. The show was selected as one of the Scotsman newspaper critic’s ‘best shows to see in Edinburgh’.  Jimmy also hosted the prestigious ‘Pick of the Fringe 2019’ at the Sheraton Hotel for the third year in a row.
He is “a brilliant talent” (The Scotsman) and with “an easy charm and appealing relaxed manner” (Chortle).  Jimmy is now a top circuit act in the UK, as well as a highly sought after corporate awards host and TV warm up artist for shows like BBC1’s Graham Norton Show and ITV’s Loose Women.

"Exquisitely done, with a compelling, simmering fury... impressive" - Chortle

MARLON DAVIS is a talented comedian, improviser and actor whose TV appearances include Live at the Apollo, Live From The Comedy Store, Stand Up Central, The Stand Up Sketch Show and Don’t Hate the Playaz. Marlon made the final of two national competitions, Laughing Horse New Act of the Year and So You Think You’re Funny at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe the following year, very quickly and firmly cementing his status as a rising star on the comedy circuit. Marlon has supported Kevin Bridges, Michael McIntyre, and Alan Carr on tour, and is performing at clubs, arts centres, and theatres all over the UK.
