Pictures from Punch: a 175th anniversary exhibition
Founded in 1841 Punch was, for over 150 years, an institution in British cultural life. The magazine is best remembered for its political and joke cartoons by some of Britain's greatest humorous artists.
The exhibition will include original cartoons by anton, hM Bateman, George Du Maurier, fougasse, Leslie Illingworth, John Leech, Charles Keene, Pont, Ronald Searle, RS Sherriffs, EH Shepard, Trog, Mike williams and many others.
Also on display will be the original of Sir John Tenniel's 'Dropping the Pilot', the most famous cartoon of the nineteenth century. Exhibition on loan from The Cartoon Museum.
Opening times 10am to 4pm daily.
