Mount Felix Tapestry

Every day until Sunday 27 September 10am to 4pm
The Mount Felix Tapestry, begun in 2014, has returned from its tour of New Zealand with 2 new panels. Its 46 panels tell the story of the No. 2 NZ General Hospital at Mount Felix, and have been stitched by about 1000 stitchers from Walton to Christchurch.

Andrew D. Brewis is Keeping the Lights On

Andrew D. Brewis invites you to be part of the studio audience to film his fundraising gig 'Andrew Brewis is 'Leaving the Lights On' - a tribute to the legends of musical theatre. This concert will be offered to other venues to help them raise much needed funds to keep the lights on.

Ahead of his Beethoven piano sonata cycle commencing November, pianist Simon Watterton is joined by renowned Beethoven scholar and Classic FM legend John suchet for an introduction to this exciting series of concerts at Riverhouse Barn. The series is also avaialble as a live stream.

One of the most distinctive artists of his generation, Stephen Hough will perform this mini-concert 3 times for small socially-distanced audiences.

Simon Watterton - Beethoven Cycle 'Waldstein'

8 November 'Waldstein'

Simon begins his sonata cycle with four works from different periods of the composer's life. The first sonata already finds Beethoven in revolutionary mood, before the wonderful A Flat Major sonata op.26, favourite of Frederic Chopin. Next is the late E Minor sonata and a glimpse into the intimate, private world of late Beethoven, before the concert closes with the mighty, life-affirming 'Waldstein.' Available as live stream too.

Keziah and Eleanor are founding members of 4 Girls 4 Harps who have visited Riverhouse on many joyful occassions. In this Covid reduced Christmas Concert their programme will include music by Vivaldi, Handel and Maudlin and lots of sparky Christmas arrangements.
