Family: Coiling Fruit Bowls

You can either make your very own bowl, or work as a team to make a spectacular fruit bowl for your family.

WHAT WILL WE BE DOING?
Sally will demonstrate coiling a fruit bowl, incorporating decorative techniques such as incising; impressing; applying sprig motifs.
For the rest of the workshop, with encouragement and support from Sally, using stoneware or earthenware clay you'll create your own unique bowl.

Option 1: 11-14yrs £30   15+yrs £60  (your pots are glazed for you)
When your work is dry Sally will bisque fire it, glaze it in your chosen colour, then glaze fire it. It'll be ready for collection, or posting (extra cost) within about 3 - 4weeks.

Option 2: 11-14yrs £60   15+yrs £80  (includes 2 hour glazing workshop. Date to be arranged.)
When your work is dry Sally will bisque fire it and then you will need to book a separate two-hour glazing workshop, when you will glaze your creations with beautiful glazes, for a colourful, shiny and waterproof finish. After the glaze has dried, Sally will fire the work again and have it ready for collection, or posting (extra cost) within about 3 - 4 weeks.

ABOUT SALLY
Sally Mareike, the tutor is DBS checked, with over 20 years experience of teaching pottery and supervising groups and she absolutely loves helping people get crazily creative with clay!

WHO IS IT FOR?
Age 11yrs+
Why not gather up some of your favourite friends (children or adults) and get creative together? The more the merrier. Maximum 6 people per workshop.

PAYMENT & CANCELLATIONS
Full payment is due on booking. Fees are non refundable within 14 days of the course.

WHAT’S INCLUDED?
Fun, aprons, tools, materials, firing.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
Make sure you wear clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting dirty. Old t-shirts are used as aprons in the studio.
