Are you interested in local history, the history of your house or family history and don’t know where to start? Are you aware of the archives, but have never ventured in? This workshop will introduce you to using the archives searchroom, demonstrate the archives catalogue and give you hints on how to start your project. We will also share examples of books, documents, maps, sound recordings, newspapers, other records and online sources which will help you.
This training forms part of Heritage Connections, Shetland Amenity Trust and Shetland Heritage Association’s partnership project supported by Museums Galleries Scotland and The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
